RANCHO PINOT LAMB SALE
Chef Chrysa Robertson from Rancho Pinot restaurant has received a special shipment of Nash Island lamb from Maine. The sheep live “wild” on the island year-round foraging on local grasses and seaweed. A mixture of Romney, Corriadale, Coopworth and other breeds, they are especially adapted to the environment. 4 to 5-lb boneless legs are available for $11 per pound. BENEFIT FOR THE ORGANIC CENTER AT CHANDLER WHOLE FOODS

Chandler Gilbert Community College hosts a local food fair from 10 am to 2 pm at the Pecos Campus Student Center Pavilion, 2626 E. Pecos Road in Chandler on Thursday, February 27. Local vendors interested in participating should contact Nancy Short at (480) 732-7227.
THE ART OF LOCAL FOOD
Come and meet the founders of Edible Communities at 12:30 pm on March 15 at a very special session on the “Art of Local Food” at Whiteman Hall at the Phoenix Art Museum. Carole Topalian and Tracey Ryder will present stunning images of local food communities in the United States and Canada and talk about their experiences in helping to save local agriculture. Festival or museum admission required.
