Event: 'Certified Local Fall Festival '

    Featuring local homegrown businesses, free food, activities, prizes and other autumnal goodies. This 4th annual celebration of Valley independents at Duck and Decanter, 1651 E Camelback Rd in Phoenix, is presented by Local First Arizona and includes indie favorites La Grande Orange, Changing Hands Bookstore, Copper Star Coffee, Urban Cookies, That's A Wrap, Kidstop Toy Store, Samurai Comics, Community Tire and Auto, Souvia Tea, Pop the Soda Shop, Practical Art, Green New America Vegetarian, Schreiner's Fine Sausage, Postino, Haus, Desert Song Yoga, Practical Art, Spinato's Pizza, Paws to Play, Greeting Cookie.com and others.

    Children will enjoy a modeling clay area sponsored by Arizona Art Supply and a reptile petting zoo sponsored by the Phoenix Zoo. The little festival goers can also enjoy a rock climbing wall, obstacle course, jumping castle, face painting and a sail boat to play on, courtesy of Sails West! 
    At 11am, Cynthia Giroux of KC's Storybook Kitchen will read from If You Give a Cat a Cupcake by Laura Numeroff and then show how kids can make cupcakes. Meanwhile, adults can listen to live, family-friendly music while sampling tasty treats and getting a head-start on their holiday shopping with unique and interesting gifts that can only be found at Arizona businesses.
